Our Play Group supports younger children with a smooth transition from school. Through a range of activities that spark curiosity and imagination, we nurture their educational and emotional well-being in a safe and welcoming environment.

Information
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
- Mini Playgroup: 9:00 am - 11:20 am, £16.50 per session, for toddlers and pre-schoolers.
- Playgroup: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, £35.00 per session, for children aged 0-3 years.
- Full Day Care: 7:30 am - 6:00 pm (Fridays until 5:30 pm), £60.00 per day.
- School Pickup/Drop-off: £10.00 per session.
- We offer 30 places during day care sessions.
- We accept children from 12 months old.
- Good staff ratios are maintained throughout sessions.
- The ‘Blossom app’ keeps parents updated with photos and daily records. You’ll sign up at induction.
- We accommodate individual needs and requirements.
FEES & PAYMENTS
- Services run during school term times only.
- Fees are due monthly in advance on the 1st of each month.
- Late payment fee: £5 per day. After five consecutive days of non-payment, your child’s place will be forfeited.
- Late collection fee: £5 for every 5 minutes late.
- Registerd to accept The Childcare Offer for Wales (30 hour funding), Tax-Free Childcare, Childcare vouchers and other schemes
SICKNESS & HOLIDAYS
- Full fees apply if your child is absent due to sickness or holidays.
- We do not offer refunds or reductions for missed days, as staffing and resources remain consistent.
- If a child becomes unwell, we will make them comfortable and contact parents or emergency contacts.
- For urgent medical attention, a staff member will accompany the child to the nearest A&E and stay until the parent or carer arrives.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES
- We create a safe, caring, and stimulating environment where children can develop socially and emotionally while having fun.
- Clear behavior boundaries, praise, and rewards support good behavior, self-esteem, and mutual care.
- We promote open communication between children, staff, and parents, ensuring children feel valued and involved in planning activities.
ACTIVITIES
- We offer a variety of indoor and outdoor activities that inspire creativity and curiosity.
- Activities are based on the ‘Eight Playwork Principles,’ ensuring play is freely chosen and motivated by the child.
- Outdoor play is encouraged, with children moving freely between indoor and outdoor areas.
SNACKS
- Fresh snacks are provided daily at 10am-10:45am and 2pm-2:45pm, with menus displayed and adapted to dietary needs.
- Children will self-serve when they want during these times.
- Organic products are used when possible.
- Snacks are freshly prepared by staff with food hygiene certification.
- Children bring their own packed lunch.
- Fresh drinking water is always available.
LANGUAGE
- While English is the primary language, we incorporate basic Welsh into daily activities to promote language skills and cultural awareness.
- Some staff are fluent in Welsh and assist as needed.
SAFTEY & SECURITY
- We maintain comprehensive health and safety policies and percedures that comply with up to date CIW regulations.
- Staff training and safety checks are up to date and renewd regularly.
- The setting is secure with locked entrances, CCTV, and emergency protocols in place.
- Contact details must be kept up-to-date for safety.
REGISTRATION
- Registration Fee: £50.00.
- To register, please contact for and complete a registration form. The manager will confirm availability of the requested sessions for your child.
- Upon confirmation, you will receive written confirmation of your child’s placement, along with details of fees, discounts, and any further requirements.
COMPLAINTS
- We take complaints and concerns seriously and address them promptly according to our complaints policy.
- Complaints will be resolved by the manager, but you are also free to contact the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) if necessary.
